How many ways can you say Ouch?
Sugar caned. Sugar smacked. Thumped. Pummelled. That's 4 to start. 4 also happens to be the number of quarters in a football game, and the Irish only played with LSU in the first 2 of last nite's Sugar Bowl. After a 41-14 pasting (that's 5), it was clear that ND was not in the same class as LSU. Before the game, ND faithful (including me) figured play calling and Quinn were the Irish's great hopes. Both were deflated as Weis made some bad calls (the fake punt was unusually bad) and Quinn was out-everything'd by Jamarcus Russell. This was not a game that inspired hope for next year either, as Quinn departs for the pros and Weis plays footsie with his job.

Fire Weis now or better yet let the Giants have him if they are so in love with his acumen. Last 4 Irish games against powerhouses have been blowouts (OSU last year, Mich, USC, and now LSU). Didnt we fire Ty for getting thumped in the big games?
Yea and don't forget the Irish have now lost a world-record 9 consecutive Bowl games, with Weis accounting for the last 2 of those. Maybe we could get Gerry Faust back, I think he was the last ND coach to beat LSU (1981)!
Er... um... go LSU! *cough
The Upset FishBrother would have responded to this chain sooner but he was busy taking his elderly Fishmother to dinner which the Fishhead himself declined to attend obviously to tackle more pressing (and very odd) posts about Linux
Fish Head would have gladly attended dinner had guppy brother actually extended an invitation. And may Mephistopheles fry your fins for denigrating my Linux posts.
I think you should face reality, Fishy -- only you and the Geek Brotherhood find Linux to be a fascinating blog topic. You're an enigma to those of us who are perfectly content to hash out world events through the prism of XP SP1.
Ned Ludd and his followers would love you. Have you smashed any textile machines today?
